Reflection and regeneration

Standard

It’s approaching that time of year when the sun seemingly doesn’t move and stays low-slung in the sky.  The weather has become colder and crisped both the days and nights with layers of frost and snow.  I’ve spent time outside, enjoying the reflectiveness that this time of year brings, and knowing that despite the earth’s outer appearance, Spring is only biding her time beneath the surface.

The weather has scuppered a few poetry plans but fortunately the snow backed off tonight so The Word and Sound was only partially affected by the weather.  As usual, there was a wide array of wonderful poets reading stunning work and music from The Brothers Grimm.  There is a Word and Sound Facebook page if anyone would like to keep up to date with events.
